I've decided to try blogging some of my sessions to help you more fully experience the love I am invited in to capture. And with this one, I was welcomed into the beautiful home of Summer and Lincoln to artfully record a glimpse of life with their new son, Colby.
Every detail of this home sang of warmth and tidy perfection. These folks really had it together! The nursery showed off Summer's creative side and I have no idea how they managed to keep things so clean and fresh under the command of their new, little boss. The colors, the personality, the light flowing through this house...it all made for an incredible lifestyle newborn session.
Lifestyle sessions in the home provide the sweet reminders of just how tiny and new a baby is during those first days. I still like to record the perfect, little details, but we spend less time trying to get a baby into deep sleep for posing purposes and focus on the connections and surroundings.
I love stepping back and watching new parents settle into their environment. No doubt we were cooking as the heat needed to be turned up to keep sweet Colby happy, but what an honor to preserve these first moments of parenthood.
